MIPE's 

Objective:

The objective of the association shall be the gathering and disseminating of facts and information with reference to public parks, gardens, forest preserves, conservation districts and recreation agencies to establish a friendly cooperation of all agents directing and controlling the same.

How MIPE Achieves Its Objective:

  • Promotes networking amongst park and grounds professionals from the Great Lakes Region through monthly meetings, educational, and social events

  • Presents experts who discuss issues affecting parks and grounds

  • Organizes tours if parks and facilities throughout the region

  • Keeps professionals abreast of job openings in the area

  • Recognizes fellow professionals, staff, local leaders and volunteers who have contributed to parks and grounds in their communities

  • Exhibits and special events

  • Offers scholarship opportunities

Purpose:

That we, the Midwest Institute of Park Executives, may better serve our people and cultivate a spirit of cooperation between all agencies relating to our common cause; that we may promote the establishment and the proper use of public parks, gardens, forest preserves, conservation districts and recreation agencies; and that we may meet together at regular intervals to exchange ideas and share successes and challenges, for the betterment of the communities we serve.
